How I painted the dark blue and gold power armour of my Chaos Space Marines.

1. Basecoat all blue areas with Kantor Blue .
2. Recess shade all blue panels with Kantor Blue and Abaddon Black m mixed 2:1.
3. Do a chunky highlight of Calgar Blue around the inside of armour panels and along exposed edges.
4. Add a fine highlight of Hoeth Blue to everything highlighted in the previous step.
5. Selectively highlight corners and the extreme parts of exposed edges with Blue Horror .
6. Add an optional dot highlight of Ulthuan Grey to the centre of your Blue Horror highlights and on the point of corners.
7. Basecoat all armour trim with Liberator Gold . This is likely to take a few coats.
8. Cover all of the trim with Guilliman Flesh and Contrast Medium mixed 1:1.
9. Go around all rivets in the gold with more Guilliman Flesh and pop a little extra into deeper areas of the armour.
10. Highlight extreme edges of the gold armour with small lines of Stormhost Silver . Dont forget to the armours rivets too.
