How to paint this exciting and varied Warhammer Underworlds warband. Lots of exciting opportunities to experiment with undead and zombie skin tones.

Tip: Add small amounts of Dark Reaper or Sons of Horus Green into the shade-stages to vary the tone of the skin.
Tip: Add soft glazes of Ushabti Bone to midtones if needed. Add thing glazes of Wazdakka Red around ears, knuckles, elbows, etc.
When it comes to the zombie skin, I used the same basecolour for multiple models. This way, basecoating them was quicker as a batch. Then, I just varied the shading to give a different effect. Zombie skin is very versatile in this way.
For example, see these next two skin recipes...
Zombie Skin 1
- Basecoat with a mix of 3 parts Cadian Fleshtone , 1 part Administratum Grey and 1 part White .
- Mix a small amount of Screamer Pink into the base colour and add some general shading. You can always slowly increase the amount of pink in the mix if the shading isn't distinct enough.
- Now mix a little Druchii Violet into the above paint and shade more selectively. You may even want to go back with some pure Druchii Violet to shade the eye sockets, would etc.
- Mix a little of the base colour 1:1 with :whiye and add fine highlights to the skin. This stage is to accentuate the musculature.
- Finish with selective highlights of pure White .
