Silver Armour

1. Basecoat with a 1:1 mix of Vallejo Metal Color Duraluminum and Steel . If you have Dark Aluminum , this is pretty close. The equivalent Citadel paint would probably be close to Leadbelcher .
2. Mix equal amounts of Duraluminum , Steel and Liquitex Prussian Blue ink, and do a general shade of the recesses. This mix is also good for areas you wish to glaze shadows. If you wanted to use a Contrast Paint, Talassar Blue would be a decent choice.
3. With some Black Templar , do a more precise recess shade, aiming for the very deepest parts only.
4. Now the shading is done, now is a good time to get the under-suit painted.
5. With Vallejo Metal Color Silver , add chunky highlights in exposed and upward facing areas. Glaze where necessary to keep things smooth.
6. In areas where you want a little more punch, add selective/specular highlights of Vallejo Metal Color Chrome .

Black Under-Suit

1. Basecoat with Abaddon Black .
2. Pick out as much of the raised ribbing as you can do comfortably, with Eshin Grey .
3. Pick out around two thirds of the previous highlight, using Dawnstone this time.
4. Now finnish off the ribbing with a small highlight of Administratum Grey .

Blue Eye Lenses

1. Paint the eyes with Kantor Blue .
2. Now paint the three quarters of the eye closest to the nose with Temple Guard Blue .
3. Paint around one-third of the previous highlight with Baharroth Blue blue, close to the nose.
4. Add a very small highlight of Blue Horror , next to the nose.
5. Finally, place a small dot of a pure white (like White Scar ) in the corner that is still Kantor Blue .

Power Sword

1. Basecoat with Thousand Sons Blue .
2. Paint/glaze half of each side of the blade with Temple Guard Blue .
3. Glaze Gauss Blaster Green toward the tip, furthest from the Thousand Sons Blue .
4. Glaze Incubi Darkness on the opposing side, running in the opposite direction.
5. Enhance this shadow by glazing Abaddon Black towards the tip.
6. Edge highlight carefully with Gauss Blaster Green . I like to add a few scratches to the blade here too.
7. Selectively edge highlight tips and corners with a pure white. If you added scratches to the blade in the last step, add smaller lines or specular highlights to them.

Gold Details

1. Basecoat with Vallejo Metal Color Gold .and Copper , mixed 2:1.
2. Wash with everything but the test with Gore-grunta Fur , thinned 1:4 with Contrast Medium .
3. Thin Cygor Brown 1:4 with Contrast and wash the recessed writing, darkening around it nicely. I also use this mix for selective shading of recesses on the rest of the gold, making it look more interesting.
4. Re-establish the Gold .and Copper in areas you would like to bring the shine back on.
5. Now pop a drop of Vallejo Metal Color Chrome into whatever paint is left and selectively highlight edges.
6. Finally, add specular highlights of Chrome to points.

Heraldry

1. Basecoat White areas with Pallid Wych Flesh .
2. Basecoat red areas with Mephiston Red .
3. With a 1:1

Basing

1. Basecoat with Mournfang Brown .
2. Wash with Agrax Earthshade .
3. Drybrush with XV-88 .
4. Light drybrush with Ushabti Bone .
5. Paint rocks with Dawnstone .
6. Add highlights with Administratum Grey , drybrush if possible.
7. Add specular highlights with the above paint, after mixing in a little pure white. If you fancy it...
