Red Skin

  1. Prime the whole model with German Red Brown
  2. Basecoat the skin with Word Bearers Red . The colours are pretty close, so you can probably get away with one quick coat.
  3. Drybrush with Tuskgor Fur .
  4. Wash the skin with 1 part Darkoath Flesh , 1 part Garaghak's Sewer and 8 parts Contrast Medium .
  5. Basecoat the fleshy bits with Bugman's Glow .
  6. Go over the fleshy parts with some Carroburg Crimson , to bring back colour. I used a drop of Lahmian Medium to thin it.
  7. Edge highlight with Tuskgor Fur and Kislev Flesh .
  8. Selectively edge highlight with Kislev Flesh and pop very small highlights on the fleshy bits too.
  9. Mix in some Pallid Wych Flesh to your Kislev Flesh and add even smaller highlights. You could also add specular highlights of pure Pallid Wych Flesh to select areas, if you wanted.

Dark Blue Carapace

  1. Basecoat with Stegadon Scale Green .
  2. Recess shade with a mix of Stegadon Scale Green and Abaddon Black .
  3. Add chunky edge highlights of Thunderhawk Blue to all of the plating. Also add striations on the edges of large plates with the same chunky lines.
  4. With Fenrisian Grey , edge highlight it all again with fine lines. Place these fine lines within the striations from the last stage too.
  5. Finish off these highlights with Blue Horror . Make these highlights very selective or even specular highlights. These should be placed on the edges of the striations too.

Black-Blue Bone Claws/Weapons

  1. Basecoat with Abaddon Black .
  2. Glaze away from recesses with a 1:1 mix of Abaddon Black and Stegadon Scale Green .
  3. With Stegadon Scale Green , add chunky edge highlights to everything.
  4. Now apply fine edge highlights of Thunderhawk Blue .
  5. Take some Fenrisian Grey and selectivly highlight points, plus edges that would really catch the light.
  6. With Blue Horror add selective and specular highlights within the last stage. An occasional dot of :white scar on pointy bits looks nice too.

Yellow Eyes

  1. First, ensure the area around the eye is nice and dark. Hopefully the skin wash has done this for you, if not pop some Agrax Earthshade in there.
  2. Now basecoat the eye with Averland Sunset .
  3. Highlgiht a smaller area towars the front with Dorn Yellow .
  4. Finally pick out a specular highlight with White Scar .

Teeth

  1. Pick out each tooth with a couple of layers of Ushabti Bone .
  2. Add a smaller layer of Wraithbone to make each tooth look more cylindrical.
  3. Finally, add specular highlights of White Scar to the points.
