The brass/bronze finish of my Drukhari vehicles. Pretty much the same as my troops, but allows for further weathering.
Basecoat with Runelord Brass . I applied this through an airbrush over black primer. However, you can also use the can primer Runelord Brass but it's a bit more like rose gold. - Carefully glaze each panel with Guilliman Flesh . I thinned it slightly with Contrast Medium . Pull the paint up away from the bottom edges, and down towards the middle from the top edges. Light placement!
- Line shade with Cryptek Armourshade Gloss or Wyldwood . Add some of this to the previous shade to do very dark patches.
Add streaks and marks by using different concentrations and mixes of both shades. You can use water and quick downward motions to mimic the flow of the grime. Keep applying - layer some, make some longer, some shorter. - Use a thinned application of Runelord Brass to tidy any bits you're unhappy with, and do a thick edge highlight on sharp edges.
- Glaze Canoptek Alloy to the brighter panel parts. You could mix Silver RLM01 Metallic into the base colour which gets a very similar tone to Canoptek Alloy.
- Apply any transfers. I used the Dark Elf transfers.
- Final edge highlights and chips with Silver RLM01 Metallic .
- Other details are the same as the Drukhari troops.
