A very pale skin tone!

  1. Basecoat in Ionrach Skin
  2. Layer with Deepkin Flesh . Focus on raised areas, leaving the Ionrach Skin in recesses, such as the forehead and eyebrows.
  3. Soft shade the recesses, such as around the ears, in the ears, cheeks, under lips with a 2:1 mix of Ionrach Skin and Kakophoni Purple
  4. Deep shade with a 1:1 mix of the previous colours. You can also line shade around the join between the neck piece or hair (if it has it!)
  5. Highlight with a mix of white (I use AK Interactive, but White Scar works) and Deepkin Flesh
  6. Glaze the highest points with the above mix, such as the top of the head, top of the ears, cheeks, chin. I also highlight the eyelids with this.
  7. Highlight the very highest points with pure white.
  8. Fine details: eyes paint with Wyldwood , then off white. Black dot, white dot in the black if you can. Soft shade under the eyes with Thunderhawk Blue . Glaze the lips with a mix of Bugman's Glow and Deepkin Flesh . Paint teeth white, then use a very thin Skeleton Horde mix. Re-highlight white. Inner mouth was washed with Flesh Tearers Red .
  9. Scar had a some glazes of lip mix, with a final deepest shade of Mephiston Red . This is very, very thin!
  10. Adjust the highlights and shade. I painted the collar at this point so it had context. I added a bit of Bugman's Glow to the cheek shade. Other areas I glazed a bit more Ionrach Skin (such as the side of the head) to raise contrast.
