Simple Warriors with Edge Highlighting for Gauss

Necron Warrior Body

  1. Spray Prime with Chaos Black .
  2. Drybrush entire body with Leadbelcher . (Brush: Citadel Medium Drybrush, or Medium makeup brush)
  3. Color loose wires with Hashut Copper , Warplock Bronze , or Dragon Copper (Reaper, 09448) (Brush: Army Painter's Character, Citadel Small)
  4. Apply ink wash of Nuln Oil or Agrax Earthshade , making sure to keep it heavier in the joints and lighter on the armor plates.
  5. Wait an hour.
  6. Lightly drybrush body with Leadbelcher to build color back up on the head, chest, and armor plates. Leave exposed joints or limbs without armor plates darker.
  7. Drybrush spine with squad color: Warplock Bronze , Stormhost Silver , Liberator Gold .
  8. Drybrush shoulder plates with Canoptek Alloy .
  9. Apply Basilicanum Grey contrast/shade to joints to further darken if needed.
  10. Apply a light layer of Caliban Green to the eye sockets, slightly around the lower eye socket part of the face, and the cartouche. This is the "dark glow".
  11. Apply a thin layer of Warpstone Glow on the eyes and cartouche, and even thinner layer of Moot Green for the center of the eye and the very top (not sides) of the cartouche.
  12. Edge highly armor plates with Stormhost Silver and the shoulders with Canoptek Alloy .
  13. Paint any rocks the correct color or Abaddon Black for now.

Necron Warrior Gauss Blaster

  1. Spray Prime with Chaos Black .
  2. Drybrush arm Leadbelcher .
  3. Drybrush the weapon's blades, underbar, ribbed hose, the truncated cone thing behind the bladed barrel, and the plus-sign cylinder with Leadbelcher .
  4. Drybrush the ammo vent (?) with Hashut Copper .
  5. Paint any loose wires on the weapon's cabling with Reaper's Dragon Copper (or Fulgurite Copper ) or Warplock Bronze .
  6. Paint the Barrel, Handle, and Casing with Abaddon Black .

Necron Scarabs on Model

  1. Legs: Leadbelcher
  2. Shell and Face: Warplock Bronze
  3. Center Glow & Eyes: Caliban Green followed by Warpstone Glow . For more brightness, finish with a light dot of Moot Green .
