It really gives me a lot of motivation to keep learning.-

Assembly

For a better result, I painted in subassemblies.-
This where my parts:

* All the armor pieces individually
* Open faces (where you can see the tong)
* Items that hook up to the belt
* Body

Priming

  1. Prime with white or grey with white zenital highlight.-

Skin

  1. Base coat of Waaagh! Flesh .-
  2. Highlight 80% of skin with 50/50 Warboss Green Glaze Medium (or any other medium you like to use for glazing).-
  3. Highlight 50% of skin with 50/50 Elysian Green Glaze Medium . Position your paint on the spots where the light would hit the most.-

Eyes

  1. Share over the eye socket and a bit around it with Carroburg Crimson .-
  2. With a small brush make a dot with Khorne Red for the eye.-

Yellow Armour

  1. Base coat of Wraithbone .-
  2. Once dried, use a clean wet brush to moisture the armor bit and immediately wash with Agrax Earthshade .-
  3. Once fully dried, shade with Casandora Yellow generously and making the paint to accumulate (just a bit) on the flat areas.-

Dark Armour

  1. Apply Aethermatic Blue generously, trying not to go over other areas.-
  2. Once dried, apply a 50/50 mix of Black Templar and Contrast Medium which will act as a kind of strong glaze giving the piece a dark-blue tone but leaving the raised parts with a much lighter value.-

Weapons

  1. Base coat metal parts with Burnt Iron .-
  2. Stipple (with brush or sponge depending on the size of the piece) with Typhus Corrosion .-
  3. Stipple (with brush or sponge depending on the size of the piece) overlapping some of the previous areas with Mournfang Brown .-
  4. Wash with Reikland Fleshshade .-
  5. Stipple (with brush or sponge depending on the size of the piece) over any of the previous 2 areas with Ryza Rust .-
  6. Edge highlight and blade marks with Duraluminum .-
  7. Paint straps and leather threads with Snakebite Leather .-
  8. Paint wood parts with Gore-grunta Fur .-

Teeth

  1. Base coat with Rakarth Flesh .-
  2. Layer over 66% of the area (from the tip) with Ushabti Bone .-
  3. Layer over 33% of the area (from the tip) with Wraithbone .-
  4. Add Agrax Earthshade to the root/base of the tooth.-

Bone parts

  1. Base coat with Wraithbone .-
  2. Apply 2 coats of Agrax Earthshade , the first one over the whole area, the second one, once the first one is dry, on the shadows.-

Boots

  1. Either pick any contrast brown (I used Gore-grunta Fur for some, Snakebite Leather for others and some with Cygor Brown ) or base coat with Mournfang Brown and edge highlight with some lighter color.-

Chains and metal parts

  1. Base coat with Burnt Iron .-
  2. Highlight with Duraluminum .-

Clothes

  1. Paint pants with a 3:1 Black Templar Contrast Medium .-
  2. Highlight seams with Wraithbone .-
  3. Paint belt and straps with Snakebite Leather .-
  4. Paint pant loops with Cygor Brown or any other darker brown to create more interest in the belt area.-

Pouch

  1. Paint with Apothecary White .-

Nails

  1. Paint with Incubi Darkness .-
  2. I hope you like it and any question you can find me on Instagram @DoxDos.-
