A quick and effective way for painting an Uruk-Haï army.
I wanted a really dark look, inspired by the movies and I'm quite happy with the result!

  1. Undercoat with Grey Seer
  2. Base all the armor and chainmail with Gunmetal Grey
  3. Wash all the armor and chainmail with Black Templar
  4. Medium drybrush of Leadbelcher over the armor and chainmail
  5. Wash the armor and chainmail with a thin coat of Basilicanum Grey
  6. Base the flesh areas with a 1:1 mix of Doombull Brown and Rhinox Hide
  7. Base the leather of the gloves, boots and clothes with Steel Legion Drab
  8. Base the leather straps and sword handle with Dryad Bark
  9. Wash the flesh and all leathers with Agrax Earthshade
  10. Base the sword and pike tip with Leadbelcher
  11. Wash the sword and pike tip with Nuln Oil
  12. Texture the base with Vallejo FX Dark Earth
  13. Apply Dryad Bark all over the base
  14. Wash the base with Agrax Earthshade
  15. Drybrush the base with Karak Stone
  16. Paint the base rim with Abaddon Black
  17. Now you have an army worthy of Mordor :D
