A quick and effective way for painting an Uruk-Haï army.
I wanted a really dark look, inspired by the movies and I'm quite happy with the result!
- Undercoat with Grey Seer
- Base all the armor and chainmail with Gunmetal Grey
- Wash all the armor and chainmail with Black Templar
- Medium drybrush of Leadbelcher over the armor and chainmail
- Wash the armor and chainmail with a thin coat of Basilicanum Grey
- Base the flesh areas with a 1:1 mix of Doombull Brown and Rhinox Hide
- Base the leather of the gloves, boots and clothes with Steel Legion Drab
- Base the leather straps and sword handle with Dryad Bark
- Wash the flesh and all leathers with Agrax Earthshade
- Base the sword and pike tip with Leadbelcher
- Wash the sword and pike tip with Nuln Oil
- Texture the base with Vallejo FX Dark Earth
- Apply Dryad Bark all over the base
- Wash the base with Agrax Earthshade
- Drybrush the base with Karak Stone
- Paint the base rim with Abaddon Black
- Now you have an army worthy of Mordor :D
