Time to toot toot that horn, here is Boromir of Gondor!

Blue outer coat

For all of the steps here and for the red inner coat, try to make the paint quite thin to not have the jump to a new brightness to harsh. Prefer multiple thin layers. I usually thin the paint a lot, and then dry the brush slightly on a paper towel in order to make a quite dry glaze.

  1. Base in Incubi Darkness
  2. Create a mix of Incubi Darkness and Abaddon Black and paint this into the recesses.
  3. Glaze highlights of Dark Reaper
  4. Final highlight of Thunderhawk Blue

Red inner coat

See the note about paint thinness in the previous step.

  1. Base in Khorne Red
  2. Create a mix of Khorne Red and Abaddon Black and paint this into the recesses.
  3. Glaze highlights of Wazdakka Red . Really make the paint thin here, we don't want to go too pink.
  4. Mix a little Pallid Wych Flesh into the Wazdakka Red , and do a final highlight. Really make the paint thin here, we don't want to go too pink.
  5. At the edges of the sleeves, paint the edge with Retributor Armour , then add a small pattern of gold on the rest of the sleeves.

Hair & beard

  1. Base in Bugman's Glow

  3. Do a 1:1 mix of Bugman's Glow and Cadian Fleshtone , paint most of the face using this mix, avoid recesses.
  4. Mix even more Cadian Fleshtone into the previous mix, cover most of the previous step. This step could be repeated if you want to.
  5. Mix even Kislev Flesh into the previous mix, cover most of the previous step. This step could be repeated if you want to.
  6. Wrap up with eyes, paint a thin line of Rhinox Hide in the eyes, and then dot two tiny dots of White Scar on each side of the eye.
