A very contrast-heavy way to paint darkoath over a light skin basecoat

Airbrushing

1. Prime Black
2. Basecoat Word Bearers Red
3. Highlight Cadian Fleshtone
4. Catch topmost areas Cadian Fleshtone + Titanium White 2:1

Contrast Basecoats

1. Paint all straps Garaghak's Sewer / Cygor Brown / Wyldwood
2. Paint boots and some hair Black Legion
3. Paint fur and some hair Gore-grunta Fur
4. Paint red areas Blood Angels Red

Basecoats

1. Paint bone and some hair Mud Brown + Pastel Yellow
2. Paint turquoise straps and tassels Turquoise
3. Paint silver areas Leadbelcher
4. Paint trim Fulgurite Copper

Oils

IMPORTANT: Let every stage dry fully. Varnishes need to cure for around 2 hours, and oils should be dry to the touch before wiping off, and need to cure for around 24 hours before varnishing.

1. Apply Glossy Varnish
2. Use Indian Red over skin. This should be diluted enough that it falls into the shadows without staining excessively.
3. Use Van Dyke Brown over all other parts. This can be thicker for more defined shadows.
4. Apply Ultra Matte Varnish

Layering

1. Layer skin Cadian Fleshtone
2. Second layer on skin Cadian Fleshtone + Light Flesh
3. Layer red Blood Red
4. Edge highlight red Blood Red + Light Rust 2:1
5. Paint eyes Pastel Blue
6. Pupils Black
