This scheme is based strongly on the official artwork from Sean Sutter, for this new game. How to paint a team of Blue Knights to a decent standard. These knights will also be doing double duty in my retinues for "The Barons' War".

I started by priming with Republic Blue . This is not a compulsory step, but it makes the next steps easier.

Blue Cloth

  1. Basecoat with Kantor Blue .
  2. Shade with small amount of 1;1 Kantor Blue and Abaddon Black . Don't go too heavy.
  3. Glaze 2:1 Kantor Blue and Teclis Blue over the majority of where the basecoat remains. Be sure to drag your brush towards where you will place future highlights and leave a little of the basecoat showing still.
  4. Add chunky highlights of 1:2 Kantor Blue and Teclis Blue .
  5. Now apply fine highlights with pure Teclis Blue .
  6. Mix some Teclis Blue 1:1 with Administratum Grey and selectively highlight corners and curves.
  7. Finish with a few specular highlights of pure Administratum Grey .

White Cloth

  1. Basecoat with Corax White .
  2. Add general shading with some thin Administratum Grey .
  3. Shade deep recesses more selectively, using Dawnstone .
  4. In very deep recesses and where you want to sepecrate the cloth fromother materials, add very thin lines of Eshin Grey .
  5. Highlight edges with White
