Now, this is a bit of a specific one. The aim here was to create a neutral, desolate basing scheme, that gives the hint of life having existed, just under the surface. It is meant to represent the apocalyptic setting of '1490 Doom', but could be used for many other gaming systems.
  - Prime your base with Chaos Black or any other black primer.
 - Drybrush heavily with Skavenblight Dinge .
 - Repeat the dry brushing, this time using Rakarth Flesh and being a little lighter.
 - Now graze the surface with a very light drybrush of Deepkin Flesh .
 - Basecoat the rock with Dawnstone .
 - Wash with Nuln Oil .
 - Highlight with Administratum Grey .
 - Mix some White into your Administratum Grey , then highlight more selectively.
 - Finish with a few specular White highlights.
 - Thin some dark brown (like Rhinox Hide heavily. Glaze this over areas where the dry brushing couldn't reach and run it in around the rocks.
 - Finish with a Black base rim.
