- Prime with Corax White or Wraithbone
- Basecoat the majority of the bark with a 2:2:1 mix of Bag of Bones , Battledress Brown & Mummy White
- Paint the tips of some of the branches ,the end of the hanging weaved leaves/bark & "claws" with Battledress Brown , feather it with water while still wet to blend it with the lighter parts.
- Paint the same tips/ends/claws, but a shorter part, with slightly thinned Aeldari Emerald , feather it with water in the same way to blend it.
- Cover these tips/ends/claws with Iyanden Yellow , feather it with water like before.
- Paint the leaves in three different colours, Aeldari Emerald , Iyanden Yellow & Striking Scorpion Green
- Drybrysh everything with Screaming Skull
- Drybrush the bark with Pallid Wych Flesh
- Paint the eyes and runes with really thinned down Dead White , using water or flowimprover to thin it so it flows into the recesses easily.
- Paint the eyes and runes with a 1:1 mix of Aethermatic Blue & Contrast Medium
- Add some glowing parts in some of the runes using the thinned down Dead White
- Use Dead White to the brightest part of the eyes
