Flesh

1. Prime or paint skin using Sanguine Scarlet
2. Wash skin using Carroburg Crimson
3. Heavy drybrush using Demon Red
4. Light focused drybrush on focal points using Fanatic Orange

Chitin

1. Cover chitin in Imperial Blue
2. Glaze with a 50/50 mix of Imperial Blue and Agrax Earthshade
3. Optional: For a deeper or more consistent coating, you can wash the chitin using Agrax Earthshade

Chitin Stripes

1. Edge highlight using Crystal Blue
2. Draw quick sharp lines from the carapace until about 50-60% of the way down using Crystal Blue
3. Go over the lines again about 40% of the way with Celestial Blue
4. Go over the lines one more time about 10% of the way using Frost Blue

Eyes

1. Use a very thin coat of Craven Yellow to cover the eye.
2. Fill the eye socket very carefully with Black Templar with a very thin brush
3. Cover the majority of the eye with Daemonic Yellow leaving a small outer line of Craven Yellow around the edges
4. Use Agrax Earthshade to carefully make a vertical line around the center of the eye. Give it a slight curve to add realism

Claws and ...Hooves?

1. Paint claws black using Matt Black
2. Edge highlight using Uniform Grey
3. Extreme edge highlight using Ash Grey

Teeth

1. Keep the inside of the mouth Sanguine Scarlet , repaint it if you need to
2. Use Ushabti Bone to carefully cover the teeth
3. Optional for bigger models: Use Skeleton Horde over the teeth followed by another very thin layer of Ushabti Bone to give a more realistic look
