This is a homebrew warband based on the colours used by the Lucent Hive in Destiny 2.
General Information:
My general method is to lay down all the base colours for the model, then do all the shading in the recesses before moving on to the highlights.
I don't own an airbrush, so the recipe will mainly consist of brush on paints.
Priming:
I find the metallic sprays from GW tend to be a little on the transparent side, so an initial undercoat of black helps.
- Prime the model lightly with Chaos Black
- Prime over that with Leadbelcher
Silver (Armour Trim):
I generally start with the armour trim so that any time I get paint on another piece its easy to cover later.
- Drybrush over the model lightly with Leadbelcher to even out the coverage from the spray
- Shade over with Nuln Oil
- Drybrush over with Leadbelcher , leaving the shade in the lowest recesses
- Drybrush lightly with Ironbreaker focusing on the raised surfaces
- Drybrush a small amount of Stormhost Silver only on the upper facing surfaces
Jade Green (Armour Panels):
- Base with Celestra Grey
- Shade in the recesses with a thinned layer of Sybarite Green
- Add Coelia Greenshade into the recesses inside the layer of Sybarite Green
- Highlight sharp points and fine edges with Ulthuan Grey
Black (Armour Ribbing):
- Base with Abaddon Black
- Layer the middle with Eshin Grey
- Highlight the edges with Administratum Grey
Dark Pink (Details - Cloth, Wraps):
- Base with Barak-Nar Burgundy
- Shade in the recesses with Agrax Earthshade
- Highlight the edges with Screamer Pink
- Add fine points with Kislev Flesh
Purple (Details - Lenses):
