Basics

1. Chaos Black undercoat
2. Heavy stipple/drybrush of Grimoire Purple ; this will probably require a second coat
3. Medium drybrush of Golden Griffon
4. Paint weapon blades with Broadsword Silver
5. Lighter drybrush of Necron Compound across entire model
6. Basecoat gems with Stormhost Silver
7. Wash gems with Blood Angels Red
8. Paint skin with Dorado Skin
9. Paint beards with Black Templar
10. Wash skin and beards with Dark Skin Shade
11. Basecoat demonic energy with Pale Sand , also paint the tusks with the same
12. Wash demonic energy with Aeldari Emerald

War Machines

1. Following similar instructions to the above, undercoat the model in successive drybrushes of Oak Brown , Leather Brown , and then Golden Griffon
2. Where there are larger demonic energy effects -- e.g., the flames or steam of the Dominator Engine, undercoat the effects with a layer of Ancient Stone (or maybe it is Dusty Skull -- just don't try to go straight to white), then the Pale Sand , then a drybrush of Matt White
3. Wet blend Soulblight Grey into Aeldari Emerald into Basilicanum Grey on the larger energy effects

Extras

1. Hobgrots are an undercoat of Grimoire Purple followed by a drybrush of Dusty Skull

I want to experiment with the hobgrot approach some. The goal here was to catch the same purple tone as the dwarves, but without the finery, reflected in the drybrush of a neutral color instead of the gold.

1. Hobgrot skin is Dusty Skull , then Dark Skin Shade , then relayering
2. Bases are Vallejo Black Lava/Asphalt texture paste, then a drybrush of Deep Grey , then Ash Grey , plus Valhallan Blizzard
3. Add tufts and then put a little Valhallan Blizzard into the tufts!
4. War Despot has some gems that are Magos Purple
5. Base rims are Deep Grey
6. And obviously, don't leave home without a coat of Munitorum Varnish
