Weathered Copper

  1. I started by priming with Hyrax Brown to speed up the initial basecoat.
  2. Thin Sotek Green roughly 1:1 with water, then apply a coat of paint, using a round drybrush. Do this with a whole series of dabs, so it coats all over, but gives uneven coverage.
  3. Mix your Sotek Green 1:1 with White , then thin with roughly twice as much water. Use this paint as a wash, and cover all of the bronze.
  4. Drybrush all over with Warplock Bronze .
  5. Repeat, but with a lighter drybrush of Balthasar Gold . This stage it to lighten the most exposed areas.
  6. Mix the Balthasar Gold with a little Silver RLM01 Metallic , then highlight more selectively.
  7. Finish with specular highlights of pure Silver RLM01 Metallic .
