- Prime with a zenithal highlight.
- Apply a glazed of Walnut as an undercoat. This will only appear as chipping.
- Apply a coat of Vallejo Chipping Medium all over the models.
- Airbrush a complete coat of Ochre 3 on the model as a basecoat. Highlight with a 1:1 mix of Ochre 3 and Ochre 2 , and then pure Ochre 2 .
- Allow the airbrushing to dry. Wet the paint with water and rub and poke it with a toothpick to activate the Chipping Medium. Focus on edges of armor and little scratches/dings.
- Apply a varnish to them to seal the chipping medium and prevent further chipping.
- Thing Agrax Earthshade with Lahmian Medium and apply it to the joints and crevices in the armor.
- Highlight the chips and armor edges with Ochre 2 .
- Paint the eye sockets with a 1:1 mix of Huldra Blue and Decay Black , ensuring that you leave the slit unpainted.
- Paint the pattern on the droid according to their pattern. Standard security droids have red along their shoulders and on the stomach; command droids have a yellow circle on their chest and head.
