This is a recipe for my custom Alpha Legion-based chaos space marine warband, the Fangs of the Shadow. I've nicknamed them my "Lazy Marines" because they're so easy to paint. (Apologies for the trash photography.)

1. Start by priming the miniature in Citadel Chaos Black .
2. Then, drybrush this moderately with Dawnstone , leaving a decent amount of black in the recesses.
3. Coat all the bones and metallic bits with Stormhost Silver .
4. Paint any cloth bits with Phoenician Purple .
5. Paint the eyes or any other glowy parts with Wicked Pink .
6. Paint Abaddon Black over the pauldrons (not the trim, though) again to cover any drybrushing.
7. Color any leather bits with Rhinox Hide
8. Highlight the edges of the cloth with Fulgrim Pink .
9. Highlight the leather bits with a 1:1 mix of Rhinox Hide and Kislev Flesh
10. Cover the pauldrons in Gloss Varnish .
11. Shade the silver bits with Nuln Oil .
12. Once the varnish has dried, apply Huge Miniatures Aqua Fuchsia . For best results, apply five to six coats. Let it dry fully before each coat.
13. (Optional) Stipple Blood For The Blood God on any blades or just anywhere you want. They are chaos space marines.
