Just a rough summary for a Black and Red color scheme.

1. Prime the model with Black or anything else. Paint the parts lying underneath the armor with Black Red and the "glowing" parts with Scarlet Red .
2. Adding a Medium Orange accent onto the "glowing" parts
3. Painting a Volcanic Yellow accent on top of the accent of the previous step.
4. Paint a little glowing effect on the edge. Using Scarlet Red , Medium Orange and Volcanic Yellow .
5. Paint an accent onto the Black Red layer, using a mix of 1 part Black Red and 1 part Scarlet Red .
