WIP

  1. prime Chaos Black
  2. Basecoat Iron Warriors .
  3. Do a heavy wash across the entire model with Agrax Earthshade . It's okay if it pools or splotches on some parts of the model.
  4. All over drybrush with Leadbelcher . Stipple it onto the splotches of agrax to break them up.
  5. Canoptek Alloy on raised edges/surfaces/focal points. Heaviest focus on the head, spine tips, and shoulder plates.
  6. Get some Warplock Bronze in the joints and on the skeletal/inner parts of the model. I prefer to thin this down and let it pool in the recesses.
  7. Get an old brush and get just a little bit of Typhus Corrosion on the parts that have been painted warplock bronze. Some of the bronze should still shine through.
  8. Get a nice even wash of Nuln Oil on all the bronze areas. Also go through the whole model and do a pin wash on any recesses that need it.
  9. Do an edge highlight on all the iron areas with Stormhost Silver .
  10. Do an edge highlight on the bronze areas with Warplock Bronze . You can also use Stormhost Silver here, or a mix of the two, whichever is preferred.
  11. Mix Caliban Green with Abaddon Black and apply it to the sigil and the cables.
  12. Glaze Warpstone Glow onto the cables, aiming to create a gradient that is brightest at the center of the cable and fades as it gets closer to the ends. Also put the glow on the raised part of the sigil.

GUNS

  1. Base with Abaddon Black .
  2. Basecoat glowy parts with White Scar . Thin it down and apply several layers after letting the last layer dry.
  3. Get some Warp Lightning and pool it into the base/recesses/grooves.
  4. Drybrush Wraithbone on the orb and catch the nearest surrounding edges. This can be done with any white, but I think the yellow tint of wraithbone works well with the greens that we apply.
  5. Get a small brush and lightly drybrush Ulthuan Grey around the edges of the wraithbone. Also drybrush on any nearby objects that you want to reflect the glow.
  6. Hit all the drybrushed whites and greys with Tesseract Glow . Shake it a ton!!!
  7. Dot Wraithbone on the center of the glow.

BLADES

  1. Base the dull end of the blade with Abaddon Black , and the sharp end of the blade with Caliban Green .
  2. Using Ulthuan Grey , lightly drybrush from the edge of the blade to just past the "line" that divides the sharp/dull end of the blade.
  3. Coat the gray in Warp Lightning . Also run this into the grooves of the blade.
  4. Using Wraithbone , do a heavier drybrush that covers about half the distance of the last drybrush.
  5. Coat the white in Tesseract Glow .
  6. Edge highlight the blade edge with White Scar .
