Based on a paint scheme posted on Reddit December 2019. The original images show off a deep red-brown armor with white and teal/turquoise accenting. I'm not a super big fan of the way some of the suggestions for the brown were coming out (mostly leather or brown fur recipes were linked) and I decided to go for something that's more of a deep red.

Priming
- All models were primed with Army Painter's Spray Primer Brainmatter Beige or a similar white.
- I then used Mechanicus Standard Grey to base the fabric areas.
- Use Celestra Grey to base the right hand glove.
The darker grey of the Mechanicus Standard gives the fabric a much darker base than what the Speedpaints can achieve on their own. If you really prefer the bright turquoise look, Celestra Grey is your friend here. If you do that, swap the right glove grey to get an interesting focal point. (They are the Order of the Jade Hand soooo).
Body/Base Layers
- Tabards, sleeves, and the left glove get done with Plasmatic Bolt . A thin glaze of 2:1 Sybarite Green and Temple Guard Blue also works well here.
Armor and the left glove is then done up with Murder Scene , being careful to avoid the fabric areas. This paint is deep and needs a lot of layers to cover mistakes.- I like a quick dab of Warrior Skin or Crusader Skin skin to any faces that I have exposed. Be sure to quickly wick off excess that pools weird.
- Touch up the bolter with Grim Black .
Let these layers cure for a few hours minimum, preferably overnight. The Murder Scene has a lot of bleed-through/reactivation and since we need to layer on some white, it's just better to let it sit for as long as possible.
Detail Work
- Helmet face masks, armor fleur-de-lis, and the Inquisitorial 'I' all get a few layers of very well shaken White Scar . Remember to check your kneepads, jump packs, and shoulder pads to get them all. I have found the wings to need two or three layers to combat the red of the Murder Scene.
- Bolters - Black to Thunderhawk or Incubi Darkness to Blue Horror/Celestra Grey
Follow up with Iron warriors, wash with Earthshade, highlight Leadbelcher or Runefang on the silver bits, Retributor Gold for the ornamentations. - I did the handful of belts and pouches with Rhinox Hide , with chunky edge highlights of Skrag Brown . Further highlights can be Ushabti Bone . Washing with Reikland Fleshshade can give some extra texture and blending.
- Rosary Beads - (Possible idea from Rookie Brushes: Thunderhawk Blue with Blue Horror for highlight)
- Hoses and other Metals - Iron Warriors, wash with Earthshade, highlight Leadbelcher or Runefang,
- Lenses - Caliban Green to Warpstone Glow to Moot Green OR Stegadon Scale Green to Sotek to Temple Guard to Baharroth Blue

Highlighting
Armor
- I like Screamer Pink as a chunky highlight for cleaning up Murder Scene. Some edges on the kneepads, the tops of the boots, maybe a spot on the helmet as a shine dot start.
- After that, a very fine line with some Emperor's Children in those same areas.
Wash
- Sepia or medium tone? Needs testing
