How I painted this objective marker from "The Outpost at Meerbridge" starter set for 1490 DOOM. You could however use these recipes for any kitbashed alternatives.
Wood
- Basecoat with Thondia Brown .
- Run some thin Rhinox Hide into deep recesses.
- Overbrush with a 2:1 mix of Thondia Brown and Steel Legion Drab . Let the sculpted woodgrain decide what will be highlighted.
- Mix the previous paint 1:1 Administratum Grey and apply selective highlights.
- Finish with specular highlights of Administratum Grey .
Cloth
- Basecoat with Baneblade Brown .
- Soft shade with Steel Legion Drab .
- Shade the deepest recesses with 1:1 Steel Legion Drab and Rhinox Hide .
- Highlight with Karak Stone .
- Selectively highlight with Ushabti Bone .
Steel
- Basecoat with Leadbelcher .
- Shade around rivets with a mix of Rhinox Hide amd Black .
- Edge highlight with Abaddon Black Finish with specular highlights of Silver RLM01 Metallic
