How I painted this stunning character from "The Outpost at Meerbridge" starter set for 1490 DOOM.

Light Green

  1. Basecoat with Nurgling Green .
  2. Shade with Straken Green .
  3. Mix a little Black into the Straken Green and shade particularly dark recesses carefully.
  4. Mix some Wraithbone 1:1 with the Nurgling Green and selectively highlight edges.
  5. Finish with a few very small Wraithbone highlights.

Dark Green

  1. Basecoat with Castellan Green .
  2. Shade with some thinned Nocturne Green .
  3. Highlight with Deathworld Forest .
  4. Selectively highlight with Death Guard Green .
  5. Finish with small highlights of Krieg Khaki .

Mid Green

  1. Basecoat with Loren Forest .
  2. Mix you Loren Forest 1:1 with Rhinox Hide and add shading to the cloth. This cloth is quite testures, so you can thin it and apply as a wash in some areas.
  3. With pure Rhinox Hide , shade the deepest recesses with thin lines.
  4. Highlight with 1:1 Loren Forest and Death Guard Green .
  5. Selectively highlight with Death Guard Green .
  6. Finish with small highlights of 1:1 Death Guard Green and Wraithbone .

Dirty White Cloth

  1. Basecoat with 1:1 (ish) Karak Stone and White , leaning a little more towards the white.
  2. Shade recesses with Agrax Earthshade .
  3. Define very deep recesses and points where the cloth meets other colours with thin lines of Rhinox Hide .
  4. With 2:1 White and Karak Stone , highlight the cloth.
  5. Finish with fine highlights of pure White .

Khaki Cloth

  1. Basecoat with 1;1 Karak Stone and Baneblade Brown .
  2. Add general shading with pure Baneblade Brown . The difference in tone is quite subtle here, so you can thin it and apply like a wash to all detailed/tucked away areas.
  3. Shade recesses with Steel Legion Drab .
  4. Define very deep recesses and points where the cloth meets other colours with thin lines of Rhinox Hide .
  5. Highlight with Karak Stone .
  6. Finish with fine highlights of 1:1 Karak Stone and White .

Textured Pouch

  1. Basecoat with Zandri Dust .
  2. Wash with an equal parts mix of Agrax Earthshade , Reikland Fleshshade and Lahmian Medium .
  3. Mix some Wraithbone into your Zandri Dust and overbrush/highlight raised details.
  4. Finish with a few select dot highlights of pure Wraithbone .

Bandages and Cloth Pouches

Skin

  1. Basecoat with an equal parts mix of Cadian Fleshtone , Kislev Flesh and White .
  2. Mix some Doombull Brown into the basecoat and glaze in some shading.
  3. Increase the amount of Doombull Brown in the mix and shade the deepest recesses.
  4. Mix some White into the base colour and highlight the skin.
  5. Increase the amount of White in the mix for further highlights, pushing them as far as you need.
