- Skin: Base coat with Light Umber , add some shadows with Shadow Flesh , then build up slowly with Warm Flesh and Olive Flesh using glaze and wash medium from monument. Lips are Shadow Flesh and eyes are Bold Titanium White and Blue .
- Eyes: Whites with Bold Titanium White , then irises with Blue
- Hat: Wet blend with darkest to lightest as Dark Blue , Blue , and Sky Blue .
- Pants: Wet blend with darkest to lightest as Dark Camo Green , Camo Green , and Green . Tiny highlights with mixes of Green and Ivory
- Vest, bedroll, scarf: Wet blend with darkest to lightest as Burnt Sienna , Orange Red , and Orange
- Undershirt: Base coat with Ivory , wash with Seraphim Sepia , highlight back with Ivory .
- Bags and wrist cuff: Base coat with Leather Brown , wash with Agrax Earthshade , highlight with Leather Brown
- Hair: Base coat with Coal Black , then layer up using Dark Umber , Light Umber , Burnt Sienna , and Ivory , using combos of the last three as needed for more midtones. Final highlight with mixture of Ivory and Burnt Sienna , then glaze with Burnt Sienna to bring back a bit of the red tone saturation.
- Headband and shoes: Combinations of Burnt Sienna and Dark Umber for shadows, then mix Leather Brown In for highlights.
- Gun barrel: Base coat with Dark Silver , highlights with Steel Metallic , then wash with Nuln Oil .
- Gun bands, mechanism, shoulder guard: Base coat with Light Bronze , shade with Nuln Oil and then highlight with base color.
- Gun stock: Base coat with Dark Umber , draw lines with Coal Black , add progressive highlights with mixes of Dark Umber and Leather Brown , then just Leather Brown , then very small amounts of Ivory . Tiny whole thing with Seraphim Sepia .
- Headband and bombs: Base coat with Steel Metallic , shade bottom sides with Agrax Earthshade (to make it seem like the bottom is reflecting the brown ground), then shade whole thing with Nuln Oil . Highlight top edges with Steel Metallic .
