How to paint this miniature from the TTCombat game "Carnevale". This model is from the Gifted faction.

Skin

  1. Basecoat with Deck Tan .
  2. Shade with glazes of Nurgling Green .
  3. Enhance this shading with Stormvermin Fur .
  4. Mix some White into the Deck Tan and highlight the skin.
  5. Finish with selective highlights of pure White .

Hair

  1. Basecoat with Black .
  2. Overbrush with Incubi Darkness , trying to pick out most of the strands , but leaving :black in the recesses.
  3. Highlight raised details again, but more selectively, using Kabalite Green .
  4. Further enhance the shapes with an even more selective overbrushing of Sybarite Green .

Black Cloth

  1. Basecoat with Black .
  2. Glaze exposed areas with an equal parts mix of Abaddon Black , Dark Reaper and Kantor Blue , pulling your brush towards where you will build up highlights.
  3. Add highlights of Dark Reaper .
  4. Apply fine highlights of 1:1 Dark Reaper and Grey Seer .
  5. Selectively highlight with 1:2 Dark Reaper and Grey Seer .
  6. Finish with specular highlights of pure Grey Seer where needed.

Dirty White Cloth

  1. Basecoat with 1:1 Karak Stone and White .
  2. Mix the basecolour with some Dryad Bark and shade the cloth gently.
  3. Use pure Dryad Bark to shade the deepest recesses.
  4. Mix White into some of the original base colour and highlight the cloth.
  5. Finish with selective White highlights.

White Cloth

  1. Basecoat with 1:1 Celestra Grey and White .
  2. Shade with some very thinned Fenrisian Grey .
  3. Mix some Dark Reaper into your Fenrisian Grey and shade more selectively.
  4. Finish with a thin line of Dark Reaper where the cloth meets other materials and deep recesses.
  5. Re-apply the basecoat where needed, before finishing with some selective White highlights.

Violin

  1. Basecoat with Rhinox Hide .
  2. Shade with a thin mix of 1:1 Rhinox Hide and Black .
  3. Highlight with Doombull Brown .
  4. Add fine highlights of Bloodreaver Flesh .
  5. Selectively highlight with Gorthor Brown .
  6. Finish with a few specular highlights of Ushabti Bone , where needed.

For the strings, I applied an edge highlights of Dawnstone , then enhanced them with more selective Administratum Grey highlights.

Drab Leather

  1. Basecoat with 2:1 Abaddon Black and Dryad Bark .
  2. Highlight with Dryad Bark .
  3. Mix Screaming Skull into your Dryad Bark and highlight more selectively. I would recommend doing a few passes of this, increasing the amount of Screaming Skull each time.
  4. Finish with a few select specular highlights using pure Screaming Skull .

Barnacles

  1. Basecoat with Mournfang Brown .
  2. Highlight raised details with Balor Brown .
  3. Mix some Ice Yellow into your Balor Brown and highlight more selectively.
  4. Finally, mix a little White into the above paint and finish with a few specular highlights.
