This Recipe is mainly for me to keep track of how I painted the model. There could be some slight differences here and there but this should cover the basics.

Skin
- Basecoat by wetblending Deathworld Forest and Castellan Green . Castellan Green being placed in the darker areas and Deathworld Forest being placed in more exposed areas.
- Add Incubi Darkness to Castellan Green to further shadow down in the recesses
- Slowly add Elysian Green to Deathworld Forest to build up the highlights
- slowly add more and more Ice Yellow to the previous mix until you get the highlights that you want
Shield
- Basecoat with Mephiston Red
- Create the shadows with glazes of Gal Vorbak Red
- In the darkest areas add a bit of Black to the Gal Vorbak Red to glaze down even further
- Mix 1:1 Mephiston Red and Evil Sunz Scarlet and glaze the highlights
- even more centered in the highlights glaze pure Evil Sunz Scarlet
- On small areas at the utmost center of the highlights glaze/edge highlight Wild Rider Red
NMM Steel
The NMM is not really painted in a straight forward manner but more back and forth to get the correct values. but here are some steps that should work to get a similar result. Instead of starting dark, I start from a rather light mid town and add the shadows afterwards, and then ending with the highlights
- Basecoat with a mix of Dark Sea Grey and Dark Sea Blue to get a somewhat blue middle tone grey. I start with a pretty bright base coat.
- Shadow down by adding Incubi Darkness to the previous mix.
- go even further in the shadows by adding Black
- To the Basecoat mix, slowly add more and more Ice Yellow
- to the previous mix slowly add Offwhite until ending with pure Offwhite with very small dots on the brightest areas
Leather
The Base color for the different leather patches is Bloodreaver Flesh but adding other different colors to separate the patches with slightly different hues.
- Basecoat the patches with Bloodreaver Flesh mixed with Mephiston Red , or Light Rust ,or Incubi Darkness ,or Rhinox Hide
- Add Incubi Darkness to all previous mixes and shadow down the respective patches.
- Then slowly glaze in brighter areas on all patches by adding Ice Yellow to all basecoat mixes. until you get the full contrast that you want.
