This is a method for quickly painting Indian infantry, useful for Bolt Action or any 28mm WW2 game. All steps aside from skin colours are also useful for most British infantry.
Prime with Black or any black airbrush or spraycan primer. I've done a zenithal spray of white with the airbrush but you can easily skip this. You could also use grey.
Basecoat beard, boots, and any metallic areas (rifle bits, buckles) with German Grey .
Basecoat base with Earth (Note: I ended up using a different basing method in the final photo).
Wash with dark brown wash. I use the "marine juice" from Sonic Sledgehammer Studios' YouTube channel (https://youtu.be/kDOkiEcNcik?si=fW9sjV2SzHVBxl1E). The easy way to make this is to make one big batch by combining 1 bottle of Dark Tone , 1 bottle Reikland Fleshshade , and 1 bottle Lahmian Medium . This will make enough wash to last a very long time! However if you don't want to do this, use something like Agrax Earthshade or Strong Tone with a bit less than half Lahmian Medium mixed in.
Finish base with your preferred texture. I used Lukes Aps Base Ready Mediterranean Soil (https://geekgamingusa.com/collections/base-ready-1/products/lukes-aps-base-ready-mediterranean-soil).
