Leather

  1. Follow leather from here https://paintpad.app/recipes/731-squig-leather-coat

Leather first due to having more freedom with drybrushing and it uses a different wash

I used Fire Dragon Bright , Flash Gitz Yellow , Matt White , and Strong Skin Shade for mine

Skin

  1. Base in Faded Green
  2. Highlights of ~1:1 Faded Green and Flash Gitz Yellow
  3. Highlights of Flash Gitz Yellow
  4. Dot hightlight of 1:1 Flash Gitz Yellow and Matt White

Straps

  1. Base straps in Quartz Skin

This was done slightly differently to the image, but I prefer this way

Metallics

  1. Base coat metallics with Leadbelcher
  2. Add some variety by adding a coat of Brass Scorpion to some details

Wash

  1. Give everything done so far a wash of Light Tone
  2. Give straps highlight of Quartz Skin

Wood

  1. WIP - same with jaw but different washes

Blue

  1. Couple coats of Thunderhawk Blue onto the quills, chest plate, shoulder pad (only need the left half) and gun spikes
  2. Highlight with Aegis Aqua
  3. Final highlight with Baharroth Blue
  4. Wash with Plasma Coil Glow

Blacks

  1. Base of Matt Black onto eyes, claws and right half of shoulder pad
  2. Mirror blue highlights on shoulder pad with 1:1 Matt Black and Matt White
  3. Mirror final highlights with 1:2 Matt Black and Matt White
  4. Wash right half of the shoulder pad with Dark Tone

Final steps

  1. Sponge Mithril onto edges and top half of metallics to add some wear/highlights and onto any other details (quill rings etc.)
  2. Freehand Tau/Kroot iconography on shoulder pad with Matt White
