This is an army for historical wargaming. The goal is to have fast tabletop ready miniatures that look ok when inspected closely.

Preparation

1. Prime with White
2. Wash with Agrax Earthshade

Armour

1. Base with Sterling Silver Base 77.121
2. Wash with Sterling Silver Shade 77.141
3. Highlight with Sterling Silver Light 77.101

Wood

1. Base with Rhinox Hide
2. Highlight with Skrag Brown

Skin

1. Base with Bugman's Glow
2. Shade with Reikland Fleshshade
3. First highlight with Cadian Fleshtone
4. Second highlight with Kislev Flesh
5. Add tiny dots with Pale Sand to the face

White cloth

These areas are already white and shaded with Agrax Earthshade as part of the preparation step.

1. Establish mid-tone with Buff
2. Highlight with Pale Sand
3. (Optional) Specular highlight with Ivory for a more white looking cloth.

Leather 1

1. Base with Cavalry Brown
2. Shade with Agrax Earthshade

Leather 2

1. Base with Rhinox Hide
2. Highlight with Skrag Brown
3. Specular highlight with Pale Sand mixed with Skrag Brown 1-1

Red cloth

1. Base with Rhinox Hide
2. Mix 1-1 Rhinox Hide with Carmine Red
3. Multiple glazes of Carmine Red
4. Specular highlights with Blood Red

Red shield

1. Base with Carmine Red
2. Shade the bottom of the shield with Agrax Earthshade
3. Apply gloss varnish
4. Apply decal with Vallejo Decal Fix
5. Wait to dry and apply Vallejo Decal Softener over the decal
6. Apply Matt varnish
7. Apply Agrax Earthshade again at the bottom of the shield and cover part of the decal

Basing

I am using a 40mm*40mm base to hold 4 infantry miniatures.

1. Apply Vallejo diorama FX earth texture Desert Sand 26.217
2. Wash with Seraphim Sepia
3. Drybrush with Pale Sand
4. Paint base rim with Medium Flesh Tone

Bronze

1. Base with Rhinox Hide
2. Apply Bronze
3. Wash recesses with Agrax Earthshade
