- Apply Ratling Grime to trousers, arm cloth
- Belts, straps, boot stirrups get Gore-grunta Fur
- Black weapon casings with Black Templar ; you can be a little sloppy where you'll paint over with silver later
- Paint harder armor panels with Militarum Green
- Padded cloth armor with Gutrippa Flesh
- Silver details get Plate Mail Metal
- Bronze details get Screaming Bell
- Biel-Tan Green on the light greens -- it's OK if this runs on to the browns and grays, if you're feeling lazy
- Poxwalker on the dark greens
- Nuln Oil over the black guns
- A hearty helping of Vallejo Earth Texture, Brown Earth, to the bases
- Lightly drybrush bases with Desert Yellow
- Apply Steel Legion Drab to base rims
