I got some inspiration online and decided to make some vespid yellow jackets.

As a note I always prime my models grey since I’ll build and prime them without a clear idea of a paint scheme, so feel free to prime these as any base color but I’ll write the instructions as though it’s on grey

Build and prime grey

Body carapace

1. start by painting the carapace and all the armored sections of the body with Yriel Yellow
2. Do 2-3 thin coats to get even coverage and don’t worry about getting yellow on other parts of the model. I also chose to add outer yellow carapace to the wings too
3. Now shade the carapace with a nice coat of Casandora Yellow I prefer this method since you can choose to make some areas have deeper shade and light shade but mostly it’s because these are the paints I have

Weapons

1. I decided to have the classics on these so base the tau weapons and packs with Titanium White (I can’t link it but I used specifically pro acryl Bold Titanium White)
