This is a rough recipe following Darcy Bono's YouTube tutorial (linked), which I've put together for personal use. Please support her by watching her tutorial on YouTube!

Assembly

- Make sure you remove the mold lines.

- Don't glue the arms on before painting, for easier access to the belly. Assemble it, prime it, then take the arms off and paint separately.

Prime

1. Prime with White Scar or any other white spray.

Body

1. Paint BACKPACK with Black Templar .
2. Paint entire BODY with Iyanden Yellow , avoiding just the wing membranes, claws/sting/mandibles, and backpack.
3. Clean up the WING MEMBRANES with PRO ACRYL - BOLD TITANIUM WHITE or _________.
4. Paint UNDER-SHELL (neck, belly, etc.) with a mixture of: 1 part Flesh Tearers Red , 1 part Cygor Brown , and 2 parts Lahmian Medium .
   
   For smoother surfaces (like the underbelly), consider painting a layer with Lahmian Medium before applying the contrast paint for smoother spread.
5. For the ANTENNAE and FEET: Create color gradient by applying straight Lahmian Medium to specific areas, then use a rinsed brush to apply contrast paint, then use a rinsed brush to feather out the contrast paint for blending.
6. For the CLAWS/STING/MANDIBLES: Clean up with PRO ACRYL - BOLD TITANIUM WHITE, then apply Lahmian Medium , and Black Templar straight from the pot.
7. Use Sponge to blot Black Templar onto the body for PATTERNS.
8. Paint WING MEMBRANES entirely with Briar Queen Chill and just a speck of Lahmian Medium .
9. Add color gradient by applying Lahmian Medium to one wing, adding equal parts Kroxigor Scales and Lahmian Medium to the edge, rinsing the brush, and then feathering out the paint for blending. Repeat for all wing membranes.
10. Base the EYES with PRO ACRYL - BOLD TITANIUM WHITE, apply a layer of Striking Scorpion Green , and then do a recess shade of equal parts Kroxigor Scales and Lahmian Medium .
