Mainline Basecoats

For armoured units such as Legionnaires, Kataphraktoi and Athanatoi

1. Prime black and Basecoat bulk infantry with Iron Warriors
2. Screaming Bell is used for any standards or banners
3. Celestra Grey for the undead skin and death masks
4. Abaddon Black on any leather, cloth or fur details like vembraces, pants and helmet crests
5. Dryad Bark for wood, smaller leather details like footware or leather banding on spears and for the skin of living combatants
6. Steel Legion Drab is used for any hide components such as the Xhiliarchs cloak, Varangian fur pelts or cloth wraps
7. Coelia Greenshade is used to complete this step before adding any red details
8. Khorne Red is then applied details like tabards, cloaks and banners if applicable
9. Any red areas are then washed with Carroburg Crimson
