- Undercoat armor in Golden Armour
- Paint soft armor bits in Necromancer Cloak
- Paint leather bits in Oak Brown
- Paint silver bits in Broadsword Silver or Plate Mail Metal , as appropriate
- Shade golden armor with Fyreslayer Flesh
- Shade silver with Nuln Oil
- Relayer golden armor with Retributor Armour
- Use Dark Tone to add shadows back to armor
- For cloaks, drybrush from Deep Blue to Crystal Blue to Voidshield Blue
- For blue lacquered armor, put down Talassar Blue and then Ultramarine Blue
- Shade whites with Apothecary White
- Soft grips get Blood Angels Red shaded with Nuln Oil
- Base gets Vallejo Diorama FX Earth Texture Black Lava-Asphalt
- Drybrush base with Ash Grey
- Rim bases with Necromancer Cloak
- Varnish with Munitorum Varnish
