Grimdark Black Templar Recipe inspired by Richard Grey & Gravehammer

Prime

1. Prime with Chaos Black

Power Armor

1. Stipple thinned German Grey across the model but aiming for a top down large highlight of panels
2. Stipple thinned 1:1 mix of Mechanicus Standard Grey and German Grey on the higher points of the armor (or Airbrush as a light zenithal)
3. Highlight by stippling thinned Mechanicus Standard Grey on the highest points
4. Layer over most of the shoulder pads with Rakarth Flesh (Optional)
5. Cover 90% of the shoulder pads with Pallid Wych Flesh
6. Shade all over armor with Black brown oilwash once everything is painted

Red Details

Things such as weapon casings, shoulder pad trim and sergeant helmets etc.

1. Thinned coat of Sanguine Scarlet layer up on the high points
2. Highlight with Bold Pyrrole Red

Yellow Details

1. Base with Averland Sunset
2. Shade with Agrax Earthshade
3. Layer with thinned Averland Sunset
4. Spot Highlight with Yriel Yellow

Cloth

1. Basecoat Zandri Dust
2. Layer highlight Ushabti Bone
3. Stippled highlight of Bright Ivory

Aquila Details

1. Base with stippled Necro Gold
2. Shade with the Power armor
3. Highlight with 1:1 mix of Necro Gold and Silver
