A guide on how to paint the crimson fists chapter of space marines

1. Undercoat the model with a spray of Chaos Black . After this apply Abaddon Black over the model to cover any places you may have missed.
2. Layer some Kantor Blue onto the blue armour, avoiding black undercoat in the recesses. You will need atleast 2 coats of this. If you accidentally cover the recesses, thin some Abaddon Black and carefully paint it back into the recessed parts of the armour.
3. Drybrush the model with Calgar Blue . Drybrush the black weapons first to see how much paint will come off onto the model
4. Drybrush the model again but this time with Fenrisian Grey . Use even less paint this time.
5. Repaint the black details with Black Legion . This will cover up any overspills from the drybrushing.
6. Apply an edge highlight of Dawnstone to the black. If you paint to much on, tidy up with some Abaddon Black .
7. Apply a layer of Mephiston Red over the left hand. If it is a sergeant or veteran then paint both hands.
8. Edge highlight the red hand(s) with Wild Rider Red . Apply this carefully so it's not too overwhelming.
9. Basecoat all the leather areas with Rhinox Hide .
10. Apply a chunky edge highlight of Mournfang Brown to the leather.
11. Basecoat all the metallic areas with Leadbelcher . Keep the paint off the already painted areas
12. Wash the gunmetal, red hands, and leather with Nuln Oil to darken everything down and to tie the highlights together.
13. Wash the chest symbol and filigree with Gryph-charger Grey . Make sure the paint doesn't pool awkwardly.
14. Apply a regular edge highlight of Skrag Brown to the leather to sharpen the edges.
15. Edge highlight all the metallics with Stormhost Silver .
