Airbrush

  1. Prime with Black and apply zenithal highlight from below with Wraithbone .
  2. Airbrush mid tone heavily with Mephiston Red
  3. Airbrush highlight from below with Troll Slayer Orange , lower PSI and thinned.
  4. Adjust shadows by airbrushing Gal Vorbak Red thinned heavily.
  5. Keep low PSI, apply thinned down Mephiston Red to bring back mid tone.

Base Coats

  1. Block in cloth with Dark Reaper .
  2. Apply Brown Leather to leather details.
  3. Apply Grey Green to silver metal areas on bolter, backpack, and belt details
  4. Apply Gunmetal over the previously coated areas.
  5. Apply Dwarven Gold to helmet visor, bolter rounds, backpack, and armor stud detail.
  6. Apply skin tone (if applicable) Cadian Fleshtone , Kislev Flesh , Barbarian Flesh , or Bloodreaver Flesh .
  7. Apply Flat Earth , Amaranth Red , or Ushabti Bone for hair (if applicable).
  8. Apply Ulthuan Grey over light sources on armor, helmet, and backpack.
  9. Apply freehand detail with multiple layers of Wraithbone .

Shades

  1. Apply Nuln Oil is deep recesses, heavily among cloth areas, and metal areas.
  2. Apply Seraphim Sepia and/or Reikland Fleshshade over armor and gold areas.
  3. Apply Agrax Earthshade over leather detail.
  4. Apply Reikland Fleshshade or Flesh Wash over skin (if applicable).
  5. Apply Agrax Earthshade , Reikland Fleshshade , Skeleton Horde over applicable hair areas.

OSL - Lava

  1. Identify highlighted areas from beneath the model to be lit from lava below. Carefully highlight this area with Wraithbone and coat with thinned Seraphim Sepia .
  2. Glaze area, from darkest to lightest, with Mephiston Red , Evil Sunz Scarlet , Wild Rider Red , Troll Slayer Orange , Fire Dragon Bright , Flash Gitz Yellow .
  3. Continue glaze by coating with Orange Fluorescent and Yellow Fluorescent .

OSL - Armor Lighting

  1. Identify areas on model to be lit from armor lighting. Carefully highlight this area with Ulthuan Grey .
  2. Apply thinned down Frostheart
  3. Repeat Steps 1 & 2
  4. Highlight the light source with Ulthuan Grey and White Scar .

Highlights and Detail

  1. Reapply Mephiston Red to highlight armor. Further highlight armor by layering Evil Sunz Scarlet , Wild Rider Red , and Troll Slayer Orange .
  2. Reapply Dwarven Gold and further highlight with Elven Gold .
  3. Reapply Gunmetal and further highlight with Shining Silver .
  4. Carefully reapply thinned Dark Reaper to the brightest edges of cloth.
  5. Carefully reapply thinned Wraithbone to freehand detail if needed.
  6. Carefully reapply Brown Leather and further highlight Flat Earth over leather areas.
