The Eternal Talons are a custom space marine chapter that heavily distrust the inquisition and fight using jump packs like their progenitor chapter. Here is a guide on how to paint these astartes.

  1. Undercoat the model with a dark colour such as Chaos Black

Blue armour

  1. Basecoat the model with Stegadon Scale Green .
  2. Wash the model with some Nuln Oil .
  3. Layer the blue armour with Stegadon Scale Green . Keep the paint away from the recesses.
  4. Drybrush the model with Sotek Green .
  5. Drybrush the model again with a 1:1 mix of Sotek Green and Wraithbone .

Purple armour

  1. Basecoat the left arm and knee pad with Naggaroth Night .
  2. Layer the purple armour with Genestealer Purple . Avoid the recesses and blue armour.
  3. Edge highlight the purple armour with Slaanesh Grey .

Gold armour and details

  1. Basecoat the gold armour and details with Runelord Brass .
  2. Shade the gold with Gore-grunta Fur .
  3. Apply a recess shade of Wyldwood to the gold.
  4. Edge highlight the gold with Stormhost Silver .

Off-white armour and parchment

  1. Basecoat the Off-white armour and parchment with Wraithbone .
  2. Wash the Off-white armour with Seraphim Sepia . At the same time, wash the parchment with Skeleton Horde .

Black under armour

  1. Paint the black under armour with Black Legion . Avoid the previously painted armour.
  2. Edge highlight the black with Dawnstone .

Gunmetal

  1. Basecoat the Gunmetal with Leadbelcher .
  2. Wash the Gunmetal with Nuln Oil .

White weapon casing

  1. Start with a basecoat of Corax White .
  2. Wash the weapon casing with Apothecary White .

Leather

  1. Basecoat the pouches, holsters, belt, and weapon grips with Mournfang Brown .
  2. Apply an edge highlight of Skrag Brown .

Eye lenses

  1. Basecoat the red eye lenses with thinned Mephiston Red .
  2. Highlight the eye lenses with Wild Rider Red .

Wax seels and ropes

  1. Basecoat the wax and ropes with Barak-Nar Burgundy .
  2. Edge highlight the wax and ropes with Pink Horror .

Bases

  1. Apply Astrogranite to the base of the model.
  2. Basecoat the Rocks with Rakarth Flesh .
  3. Basecoat the bullet shells with Balthasar Gold .
  4. Shade the base (including the rocks and bullet shells) with Targor Rageshade .
  5. Drybrush the base (including the rocks and bullet shells) with Corax White .
  6. Apply some Valhallan Blizzard around the base.
  7. Paint the base rim with Eshin Grey .
  8. Add some grass tufts of your choice to the base. I used army painter frozen tuft.

Blood

  1. Stipple some Blood For The Blood God on the Melee weapons.
