This is probably a little convoluted. It’s the ever evolving process I develop to paint this model to the highest level I can for gaming. In the process I will stumble “the” recipe for other stuff like leather, bone, skin etc that I can break out in to specific (shorter) recipes in the future.

Prime

1. Spray with Chaos Black

Metallic armour

1. Drybrush the top edge of all armour with Offwhite across the whole mini. Then follow the next steps.
2. Apply 3 even coats of Gold/Pale Blue over all the armour
3. Shade the darkest recess and gaps with a 1:4 wash Tenebrous Grey + water to add contrast and stop the metal from being uniform.
4. Edge highlight the very top edges with a mix of 1:3 Offwhite + Gold/Pale Blue

Leather straps, belts, seats

1. Base all leather and straps with Tenebrous Grey
2. Stipple Dark Umber
3. Thick edge highlight a 1:2 mix of Dark Umber + Leather Brown – then scratch stipple around the edge to break up the smoothness and add texture
4. Edge highlight with Leather Brown – then scratch stipple around the edges to break up the smoothness and add texture
5. Fine edge highlight with 1:1 mix of Leather Brown + Offwhite

Purple skin

1. Base all shark flesh with Deep Purple
2. Layer Magenta on the top surfaces of all skin, then glaze the magenta to smooth the transition
3. Glaze Dark Purple into the shadows and recesses. Use 2 thin coats so the dark recesses get darker while the raised areas stay light giving more contrast.
4. Layer a 2:1 mix of Magenta + Vampiric Flesh over creases folds and upper details on the flesh. Muscles etc.
5. Highlight edges and tips of fines and face details etc with 1:4 thinned Vampiric Flesh + Contrast Medium

Mouth & teeth

1. Base shark mouth/gums with Dirty Red
2. Wash with Druchii Violet
3. Highlight gums with 1:1 Dirty Red + Bold Titanium White
4. Base teeth with Bold Titanium White
5. Wash with Skeleton Horde
6. Highlight with Bold Titanium White

Cloth

1. Base tassles, clothes and fabric with Dirty Red
2. Wash Dark Purple thinly across the cloth to pool in recesses and draw it into the deepest areas to act like shadows
3. Edge highlight 1:1 Dirty Red + Bold Titanium White

Base

1. Basecoat the base in a 1:4 mix of Tenebrous Grey + Offwhite
2. Wash with a 1:6 mix of Druchii Violet + Contrast Medium
3. Drybrush with a 1:6 mix of Tenebrous Grey + Offwhite
4. Drybrush lightly with Vampiric Flesh
