- Prime the miniature in Uniform Grey or similar grey.
Light Grey Armour Panels
- Paint all the grey areas with Wizard Grey .
- Apply an all over wash of Oblivion Black Wash
- Re-layer armour panels with Wizard Grey , leaving the darkest recesses and underarmour shaded.
- Add an edge highlight of the appropriately named Carcharodon Grey .
Dark Grey Armour Panels
- Paint all the dark grey areas (including armour joints) with Death Reaper .
- Apply an all over wash of Oblivion Black Wash
- Re-layer with Death Reaper leaving the recesses and underside shaded.
- Edge highlight with Mechanicus Standard Grey .
Bronze Details
- Paint all bronze details using Spartan Bronze .
- Apply an all over shade of to the details Agrax Earthshade .
- Highlight all bronze details using Glistening Gold .
Helmet and Crux Terminatus
- Paint the helmet, and the Crux terminatus on the shoulder and knee with Trooper White .
- Apply an all over wash to white areas with a 50:50 mix of Oblivion Black Wash and Lahmian Medium .
- Re-layer with Trooper White .
- Highlight with White Star or similar pure white.
Metallics
- Paint all the metallic areas with Sir Coates Silver .
- Shade all metallics with Oblivion Black Wash .
- Highlight all metallics again with Sir Coates Silver .
Other Details
- Paint purity seals with Screamer Pink and parchment with Zandri Dust .
- Shade both with Agrax Earthshade .
- Highlight parchment with Karak Stone and seals with a mix of Screamer Pink and Trooper White .
- Paint the inside of the red lenses with a pure white like White Star .
- Apply a thin layer of Blood Angels Red . Add another layer if you think it is too thin. The important part is to ensure it draws towards the recesses to create the small blending effect from bright to dark red.
Base
- Apply a thin layer of Armageddon Dust .
- Paint all the texture with Karak Stone .
- Apply an all over shade of Agrax Earthshade . Be careful that it doesn't pool too much in any one area.
- Drybrush all the texture with Screaming Skull .
- Apply a thin, almost glazing layer all over the texture with Seraphim Sepia .
- Paint the rim of the base with Steel Legion Drab .
- Add small tufts to the base. For this miniature I used Citadel Middenland Tufts.
